This video has a better depiction of the birds on the fountain, which look larger and more whimsical. The owl is my favourite :cool: It definitely looks inspired by the Berczy Park fountain
I think it would be cool if they put a Time Out Market food hall at the downtown location similar to the one in Montreal or even an Eataly would be great
The central library was a design competition but I don't think the proposed designs were initially revealed. However, the proposals were eventually leaked.

I agree that the design is still "bunkerish" but at least interesting enough exterior to make you wonder what's inside and, thankfully, the ground floor is opening and inviting that you walk through a font door on Stephen Ave to find out compared to the experience of what was there before
I guess the new design allows for improved access from the C-Train. But not sure how much use the new plaza will get with 5 lanes of traffic separating it from Riverwalk?
