I took a closer look and not only would it add 4 train-vehicle crossings, there's currently large distribution power lines right where it shows as well. On the actual alignment map on the green line website, it aligns with the reserved ROW as well.

Good question, maybe I'm missing something. I just assumed they'd use the ROW that's been vacant for decades.

Douglas Glen will likely be 3. There's one on 107 Ave SE, one at 29 St SE, and then there's the bus only access that connects 27 St and 114 Ave which will be reconfigured as part of the bus loop changes but I think will remain open? Ogden road is an overhead crossing though not under.

I figure we might actually have flying cars by the time they build that part 🤣

Bankruptcy Creditor protection and not paying your contractors doesn't speed things along. It personally boggles my mind how they're going to make supposedly high end rentals profitable in this part of downtown, with no balconies or views.

Has anyone come across anything about which factory (or factories) CAF is going to be building the Green Line LRVs in? I'm assuming some early production has got to be kicking off shortly if it hasn't already.

The LF vs HF argument could go on forever, but I think the craziest part to me is a new train line going into service in the 2030s with drivers with the degree of automation we can achieve these days.

I think they're complicated, because they move both airport workers and travellers... Many airport workers work crazy hours and we rarely run transit at these hours in this city. Then you have the transit situation in the city at large, which has to be good enough to support connections without...

I know this drives a much higher cost, but some of the worst sleeps of my life were in a wood frame condo. I'll applaud this development on this alone, haha.
