Calgary International Airport

I wish it is real…. lol
If Westjet starts Iqaluit then I believe we are the only airport in the nation that flys to all 10 provinces and 3 territories!

Im not sure how accurate this would be, because I can't understand the reasoning for all the connections into the Seattle Metro region. Bellingham, Seattle (AC DL AS WS) and Everett. No way there's that much demand unless they know something we don't.

The data comes from YYC wiki page. The foot note says the data came from OAG. Anyone have access to OAG to confirm any of this?
All of these routes are quite interesting, if not some what odd to just plane dumb.

None of those routes show in the OAG, so it’s either wishful thinking on someone’s part or they are privy to insider information.

A lot of new American destinations which seems odd considering travel is down to the US. Must be some kind of mistake.
I can only think, going all in on super connecting.

Seatac is also overwhelmed. For much of the region, getting off the continent without going to Seatac would be very appealing.

All those new flights are from user 2604:3D08:5D7D:8D30:585B:1233:F73E:1CB2 who has only ever made those changes as well as a handful of new flights on the Seattle airport Wikipedia page, which have already been reverted because there's no evidence they exist. I guess everybody needs a hobby, and I'm hardly one to talk, but wishcasting flights onto Wikipedia is an odd one.

maybe it is real, WestJet hasn't announce next year schedule yet, but maybe this might come from insider who knows

There's no real way AC is resuming flights to SEA. That was dropped even before COVID.

I also can't see DL adding SEA either. They did announce Saturday only YVR-ATL so maybe they'll do something similar with YYC.

As for the WS adds, DFW is the only one I can legit see happening. YFB would be interesting and out of the box, but not convinced. As for ONT they already serve LAX/SNA in the Los Angeles area, so not sure what benefit there is in ONT.

Unless they see data that I don't.

A lot of these aren't WS though. The AC adding SEA is next to impossible, there's no connection point there. The Delta add also doesn't really make sense, there's already two WS and 1 Alaska on SEA-YYC, and Delta don't usually compete directly with WS, especially not now.

The ones to small US cities also seems odd, considering the lack of connection, unless it is a play for TATL traffic or like a once a week type thing.

I could see WS dipping their fingers in a 1x weekly YYC-YFB. When I flew YOW-YFB it was packed full both ways, and speaking to the FAs, that's almost always the case.
That being said, I also think these “new routes” are nothing but baloney.
