Yeah, the colours of the building do not sit right for me. It's like a grey Soviet build with cheap meshing trying to save it. Pretty disappointed with this one.

I'm in the middle here. I think the average person is gonna think it's pretty cool/different/interesting, but to the slightly trained eye it looks terrible. The siding is awful but the mesh is dope, also the mural on the east side draws complements from non-architecture enthusiasts (my coworkers) so there's also that. They said, "they need to keep building things like this." So overall, I'll give it a

White or black siding would have made that mesh pop more! I feel like they went with grey to hide the dirtiness since this will be a difficult building to clean lol.

I get It’s not to everyone’s taste, but at least it’s different. We have dozens of 5/1s that all look the same. It’s nice to have something different for a change.

The metal stuff makes an otherwise ugly building interesting, for this prominent location. Classic Calgary experimentation. I would not like to be a resident with the shading and view implications of those metal bars coming through the windows.

There's a daycare on the ground floor.

Originally it was planned to be a brew pub/daycare. Parent's could sit and pound beers while the kids burnt off some energy.

I see they are converting the old Starbucks into a McDonald’s across the street from this one.
