I know the money is part of the arena project. But I wish this money could have been used to fast track an 11th street SW underpass instead, the number of pedestrian and cars crossing there is much higher then the current 4st SE underpass from what I can tell

Uh oh not the 11 Street underpass conversation again... Don't look at the recommended if you think cars should be able to use that underpass.

The 6th Street underpass requirement is odd though. Sure people come and go from 9th Ave now to get to events at the dome and Stampede Park but I'm not sure shifting the arena two blocks north would cause that many more people to need to go to and from 9th Ave. Especially since you can only go so far west as 3rd Street. In my opinion, this money should've been spent on 25th Ave and Macleod. Maybe people who do exit north now can correct me that it's a nightmare. But my recollection is that it is better than exiting south.

Are they going to tunnel it, or move the tracks around like they did on 4th?
This is the type of thing they usually publish ahead of time for feedback, or at least - but it's a Stampede/Event Centre project so information sharing about designs, costs and anything else aren't often a primary goal.

Has any details ever been provided on design? 4 lanes? 2 lanes? Pathway and/or sidewalk design?

4th Street SE cost about $70M back in the 2010s so might crack $100M if it's similar design.

The design for the underpass could tell us the plan for the Victoria Park Green Line Station and how it could integrate (or not) into the rest of the neighbourhood. However, just leaving space for tracks isn't a give away of much. There's no design out for the station so it could be fully integrated into a Grand Central or it could just be a standalone surface station like the rest of them on the line. We're weeks away from a regional rail announcement, so we could find out sooner than later.

I'm surprised (I shouldn't be) since the arena has been underway that all that has been announced is a hotel on the other side of Stampede Park. There is the eventual announcement of the other Truman one across Macleod from the BMO. I guess Keynote is supposedly doing another phase but there's nothing east of Macleod. I mean even a little something along Stampede Trail would be nice. I want Orchard, I know I'm not going to get it but that's what I want.
