It's definitely one of those buildings that looks good from far, but your impression degrades the closer you get to it. Kind of like my cars.

I’m thinking (hoping) that the street integration might end up looking pretty great. So far I’m seeing glass, brick, and steel beams. Hard to tell how exactly it will tie into the existing Red’s building, but the so far it’s looking positive in my opinion!

There’s no gap! I know what you mean about the brick matching though, but overall I'm happy!

The street-level design does look pretty good, and I suppose that's the most important thing. But the tower... woof!

It doesn't have any random rectangles so I'm content. Hopefully vesta and lots of others like it get built nearby so it doesn't stick out so much.

I really like this building. The design may not win any awards but the white outline makes it stand out vs anything around it or recently built.

I'm liking the podium. I'm not usually a fan of floating towers on a two storey podium, but this podium works well with Red's, and the tower is far enough back that it feels like it's part of a different development.

the building kinda defies the calgary rule that if you can clearly see it from everywhere its probably hideous.

The fact that y'all are calling this building "ugly" and "hideous" is so funny to me. Coming from Edmonton, where we're lucky to be having like 2-3 mediocre towers U/C with a whole tax incentive program, you guys have it good, and I mean GOOD. To me the white and black with the large framed windows looks interesting, and those glass balconies are quite nice too!
