The North Hill site has a lot of potential for a significant development. But that gas station cleanup will probably take 10-15 years.

I could see it becoming a mini version of Metrotown. The North Hill site is only a fraction of the size of Metrotown, but it could be similar, only on a smaller scale.
That parcel is begging for some development.

Concord owns that parcel but anything will have to wait for the remediation of the Sears gas station, which is ongoing if you go to the southside of the mall where the KalTire is.

Do we know if this is concrete or just the commercial podium then transitioning to wood frame above? And who is the general contractor building this?
 
It's a bit odd they only seem to be vertically building a portion of the apartment piece, isn't it? Pretty sure the designs showing the apartment building being much wider and covering more of the site than what is currently appearing in the photos?
