I’m installing a/c in this one, along with the massive mansion across Elbow. Underground garages are pretty similar size between the 2!

Brick looks good, it's the wood panels that will make or break IMO.
It's crazy to see that monster mansion go up directly across the street from this large condo. The power of zoning regulations...
Personally if I had the money to build a house like that I'd want a quieter location, or at least a view.

Boardwalk REIT (BEI-UN-T) has announced a series of apartment building acquisitions in Calgary comprising 324 units for $118.2 million. The largest of the properties is Elbow 5 Eight, an under-construction mid-rise with 255 apartments.

From a form perspective, this building is great - perfect place for some density. It was never part of the plans, but feel it's a miss to not include a walkable retail component to help soften the car-sewers that Elbow and 58th Ave become around their as a result of the mall traffic routing nearby. But overall good enough.
From a materials perspective, a familiar story - I don't disagree with any of the choices or colours, I just wish they stuck with 3 or 4 materials instead of 8 to 10.

I believe I did see some grain on there, although I didn’t get close enough for a good look. Nothing special, but still appreciate the added density.
