Brentwood or the area NE of Chinook are our most likely spots. The area around Chinook should naturally develop into Calgary's midtown, it's pretty much right in the center of the city.

On that note, a land use goes to CPC this week at the corner of 55th Ave and 2nd Street SW to allow for a 24 storey building.

24 storeys (or higher) is perfectly suitable for the location. Hopefully there won't be any opposition.

There are already like 6 towers, now adding another one will give it a head start for it to be a midtown. Also with a bunch of breweries nearby as well, they already have a little culture starting to form, just need more people, better connectivity and some shops and restaurants then just strictly residential

Anyone know what is happening with the TransAlta buildings on 12th? There was a geotechnical investigation happening on the SW corner last week, and I'm pretty sure most tenants have moved out of the office building now.

Riverfront pathway section settling in nicely.

I walked by there the other day and I honestly can't tell if that vegetation in that section is just weeds gone wild or is actually planned like that. There are a few sections along there that seem to have been forgotten when it comes to landscaping.
