the eight year project to put it in the shade!

"Since then, we’ve been working with engineers and scientists to conduct reflective sunlight studies and outline design requirements for a suitable new location," said the City of Calgary in a news release.

I am picturing a whole floor downtown with teams of researchers in lab coats speaking in hushed tones while they try to solve this problem which has bedeviled mankind for centuries. In the eighth year of research, a precocious intern assigned to the project for the summer comes up with a stunning breakthrough: "we should put it in the shade." Senior scientists are aghast, the Mayor calls for a ticker-tape parade. After eight long years, the cursed sculpture can be enjoyed by the public once more!
