They gonna keep those power lines there?
Unfortunately, it's most likely they'll be staying. This alleyway in Sunnyside has seen multiple developments but the power poles still remain. It's too bad the city couldn't have buried those power lines considering how many people have balconies facing the alley.

Caught a peek of this driving down Crowchild and they've started the wood frame. Looked maybe 2-3 stories progress so far.
On another note, that school across the street is primed for redevelopment. It's all boarded up and as far as I can tell is being preped for demolition. Does anyone know what the plans are for that site?

Anthem bought that school, someone posted something about engagement starting for it relatively soon. Would be a great redevelopment opportunity.

Update from March 3rd on CA’s website says “Anthem has let their conditions lapse. The site is back up for sale.”
Looks like it may be up for sale again.

Thanks for finding and updating. Too bad Anthem let it lapse, I wonder what caused them to drop it. Hopefully someone picks it up and does something great with it.

Not a lot of change since the last time I was there, but there are stacks of materials in front of the building, and I’m thinking panels for the exterior finish.
