Well said. That sums up the podium completely.

Also curious about how sunlight will play off this. I'll say this though, I think there are almost too many material expressions, and self defeating panel orientations at the base. I'll reserve opinion on the tower also, for now. My other issue with the podium is sheer mass and wall. There are a few permeable moments. Also, I would have liked to see the tower portion float more over the podium. The way It comes down to the ped. level kind of belies it's mass. There could have been a great opportunity mass the podium as though it were various slices of topography, that could have made the podium "breathe" a little.

In all seriousness though, this project is going to be a game changer for the East Village and hopefully the east end of downtown. I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a proper liquor store in EV until now.
