This is a pretty good article about Westman. I had no idea they were doing all of what they're doing. It's definitely a boosterized article, but behind that stuff, it sounds like a pretty great development regardless.

seems wrong to have nicer buildings 20 miles from
downtown than say for example the irvine in inglewood.

Final building of this phase of the project has begun framing. Walls of first floor are being raised right now. Although will probably be pretty slow this week.

I really like the look of this project. Reminds me of projects in Southern California. Calgary needs more of this density and style ??

You’re in luck, plan is to mirror this project on the other lake! Won’t be for a few years though.

A Westmen Village type development would be a good scale along the Bow river with taller buildings (8-15 floors) closer to the rail tracks.
