Here's more renderings of the project for Edmonton Trail and Meredith Road that was mentioned a while back (about 6 months ago)

Is this mixed office/residential? Do you know who the developer is?

It's mixed use, with retail on main, office space on second, and a dozen res units above. Not sure who the developer is.

Anyone know why the horse racing track up by Crossiron Mills got moved from it's original location, and shrunk in size?

Not much new for development permits, but there is one for 24 units on 14st NW at 23rd ave. Prefect location for something of that scale.

As I recall the horse racing folks couldn’t reach an amicable agreement with Stampede Park on leasing, and then decided to go ahead and build their own.

There were something like 8 stables built that were never utilized either and torn down. Some bankruptcies involved. Credit crisis was the last nail in the coffin I think for the original plans.

There were major issues about water licenses too, not sure if that was a factor.

I would guess it's a bylaw situation. The new development a block north is set back like that also. A shame indeed.
