Located on the same block as the similarly scaled Drake, Grosvenor's first residential tower in Calgary, the 18-storey Smith, is readying for occupancy. Our last photo update in May showed the Beltline condominium structurally complete but still awaiting full exterior sheathing. In the months since then, the brickwork, colour finishes, and balcony glass have been installed, giving passersby a more complete look at Zeidler BKDI Architects' vision.

Smith harbours a number of on-site amenities and conveniences, including a four-storey underground parking garage, a bike-sharing service, and a tool library for help with common household repairs. Outside the front entrance, a generous setback creates room for a manicured green space and landscaped public plaza.

Situated at the southwest corner of 15th Avenue and 6th Street SW, Smith contains six two-storey townhouse units and a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes for a total of 127 units. Work on the interior is substantially complete, with some final finishing and testing of mechanical systems now underway.
