In the five months since our last update, progress has been moving along well at the site of Verve, a 25-storey condo development now underway within the heart of Calgary's East Village. Recent photos on our Forum highlight the installation of the crane, which was put in place over the course of the last few days.

Viewed above and below, the crane was installed into the base of the excavation site in late October, so the site is now ready to move into the next phase of construction. Built by the Fram Building Group and the Slokker Real Estate Group with a design by the Toronto-based Giannone Petricone Associates, Verve will feature 290 residential units poised above a mixed-use podium, which itself will be comprised of three dynamic live-work suites paired with 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail.

Set amidst the rapidly rising backdrop of the East Village, Verve will place residents at the centre of Calgary's fastest growing neighbourhood, an area that has become a forest of condo towers over the last five years. Close to transit and featuring an impressive array of building features and amenities, including oversized balconies, high-end appliances, plentiful common areas, and a rooftop lounge, Verve will likely prove a hot commodity within the local condo market, on point as it is with the broader city's upward trend.

Once completed in 2017, Verve will be a welcome addition to the neighbourhood, part of the East Village's upwards ascent, and part of Calgary's ever-evolving skyline.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
