In our last write up on The Hub, back in mid December, construction of the structure had reached the stage of approaching its final floor. Since that time the tower has achieved the major milestone of topping off and the focus of the work has now moved to installing the exterior cladding, as well as the usual interior work.
Developed by Toronto based Campus Suites, the 28 floor tower is a purpose built rental tower targeted for students, as well as medical staff at the nearby Foothills Hospital. Designed by ARK Inc, the 328 unit building is a modest styled square tower the will have a facade of light gray metal paneling. The podium of the tower will feature common area amenities such as a food court, and fitness areas.
The next stage we will follow will be the exterior panel and windows installation, as well as the podium development. SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues.
