Calgary's Bridgeland area continues to roll. Last month we reported that RNDSQR's General Block was nearing construction, as houses on the property had recently been demolished and RNDSQR confirmed they were preparing for construction. No particular date had been set for the construction start, but it was getting close.

Fast forward a month later, to today and construction at General Block is now well underway. Recent photos show the site has been excavated and concrete foundation work has commenced.

While General Block is a small project in scale, it's a development many are looking forward to. Designed by Calgary based FAAS Architecture, the project's three retail units are already slated for Una Pizza + Wine, Village Ice Cream, and Phil & Sebastian's Coffee, all of which will no doubt be a great addition to Bridgeland.

On top of the retail units - both figuratively and literally, General Block will offer office space to be used by businesses who would like to be located in the heart of Bridgeland. The two storey development looks to fit in very well with its surroundings.

Construction is still in early stages and Skyrisecities Calgary will be sure to return to this development as it progresses.
