One word best describes Avli when viewing the building on a sunny day; 'Gleaming'. The last time we checked up on Avli, the exterior was nearing completion, and though not complete we had a decent preview of the how the building's white panels and steel tiles would look. They materials are impressive under any lighting, but on a bright sunny winter day the building simply gleams. It most certainly stands out among buildings in Calgary.

The shiny look is a departure from many of the buildings in Inglewood, who's exteriors lean toward brick and stucco done in brown and beige tones. Arguably Calgary's most architecturally diverse neighborhood, Inglewood can pull off differing styles of buildings without missing a beat. Avli stands out, but because of the neighborhoods diversity in architecture it fits in just the same.

Aside from the stunning metal tiles, the building stands out in other way. Designed by Sturgess Architecture, the building's main entrance features an open lobby up to the top floor, with visible elevators, something not often seen on residential projects. Avli's angled balconies are another notable feature. All in all the building has turned out well, and has lived up to, or exceeded expectations.

With residents set to move in <................> Avli is all but completed. Residents who move in will be living in a notable building, in a prime location in a district that was voted Canada's best neighborhood in 2014 and has been voted Calgary's best neighborhood on more than one occasion.
