Construction has been ongoing for a little over a year at The Edward, a 5 storey residential building going up in Calgary's southwest, and the project is now entering the final stretch as exterior work is well underway. Recent photos show brick work underway, along with window glass installation.

The Edward, is set to be a seniors’ residence in the established inner-city residential neighbourhood of South Calgary, located a stone's throw from bustling Marda Loop. The building is situated on a block shared by King Edward School, a historic sandstone school that has been redeveloped into the cSPACE arts hub.

Developed by Section 23, the 95 unit residential project is one of several that have been underway in the area, as South Calgary/Marda Loop continues to be a hotbed for new developments. Other developments in the area under construction or just finishing up include Marda, Lyfe Marda Loop, COCO, and Courtyard 33
