Progress has at times appeared to be slow but steady at Brio, the 163 unit residential project under construction in Calgary's northwest. The last time we checked up on the project was back in August, when the building had previously topped out and exterior work was fully underway.

Since that time exterior work has continued and now the building is almost completely clad. Recent photos show work has progressed on the inside as well, with some suites having fixtures already installed. The retail units are grade are also close to completion, with glass windows and doors installed, and interior work being done on the units. Under construction since 2017, the development was scheduled to be completed in late 2019, and it looks like it will be close to its target date for completion.

The purpose built rental building, developed by RioCan REIT, in conjunction with Boardwalk REIT is in a great location for amenities, sitting to the west of the neighboring Brentwood Mall, and a short walk to the Brentwood LRT Station. To the west is another grocery store that has Brentwood Commons, a 4 building redevelopment proposal slated for that location.
