It's been a long and winding road for The Windsor, Arlington Street Investment's (ASI) mixed use, 104-unit  project in Calgary's burgeoning Britannia district. It's been a 4 year timeline for construction of the project, and it's almost finished.

The project has been through two designs, hence the long period from start to finish. The Windsor was originally envisioned as a 5-storey office block. Construction had started in late 2015, but stalled out in late 2016, and the site sat idle for several months.

ASI then changed the design from a 5-storey office block to a 6-storey mid-rise residential building with retail at grade. The new design by NORR Architects was revealed in the spring of 2017, and construction resumed later that year. Since that time progress has been slow but has been steady, with finishing touches now underway ahead of occupancy. Recent photos show the retails bays are already filled in with businesses, and the residential units are expected to accept occupants on November 1st.
