Four months since our last update, and progress at the two-tower Dominion project in Bridgeland has moved ahead significantly. Of particular interest, the recent arrival of a large mock-up model highlighting the future exterior paneling, has made waves on our Forum

Stark white, the spandrel on display on-site mirrors what will be the finished appearance of the two-tower Dominion development by Bucci. Set to rise to 15 storeys from the corner of 9 St NE and McDougall Rd NE in Bridgeland, the 150-unit project will bring a total of 200 new residents to the site of the former General Hospital lands.

Part thus of The Bridges redevelopment plan, Dominion will form a major part of this significant, 37-acre, city-building project. Situated just north of the Bow River, to the northeast of the core, The Bridges will form a neighbouhood unto itself, knit into the surrounding urban fabric via a network of new roadways and local transit connections.

Close, as the location suggests, to the Bridgeland CTrain station, and within easy walking distance to several shops, restaurants, and other services, Dominion will be a popular address for those looking for an urban experience just outside of the core. Near as well to the banks of the Bow, and the related walking and cycling routes, Dominion will be an ideal address for those on two feet (or wheels).

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below
