It's been a couple of months since we last checked up on Dominion, a two tower development in Calgary's Bridgeland neighborhood. Back in late May the the Bucci Developments project was in the beginning stages of construction with piles being installed. Recent photos show the pile installation is finished and excavation is well underway. Excavation work is being done on the west side of the parcel ahead of the construction of the west tower, which will be the first tower in the two-phase project. Phase two, the east tower, will see construction start at a later date.

Designed by Urban Agency, the stylish 15-storey building will contain 150 residential units, as well as retail grade. The building's exterior material is described as aluminum paneling that will reflect the light in the sky thereby providing it with different looks as the sky changes. When combined with the fact that it's the tallest building in Bridgeland, there's little doubt the building will be an area standout.

Dominion is Bucci's third development in Bridgeland, and is a testament to their bullishness on the neighbourhood. Right next door to the north is Bucci's Radius project, which completed construction last year. The development will fill one of the last two empty parcels along Bridgeland's 9th Street corridor, and will help create an urban streetscape between Memorial Drive and 1st Ave NE.
