Five months since our last update, and progress at the Eisenberg development site has moved ahead significantly. The excavation is now complete, and construction has begun as evidenced by the first instances of concrete and rebar cropping up on-site.

Located at 140 10 St NW in the heart of Calgary's popular Kensington district, the three-storey commercial development will triple the floor space of its single-storey predecessor. Part of a recent trend towards increased height and density along the 10 St NW corridor, as more and more single-storey commercial properties give way, Eisenberg will help deliver the neighbourhood into the 21st century.

Designed by NORR Architects, Eisenberg will be fronted primarily with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, which will give the structure an airy, open-concept vibe. Moreover, the structure's off-kilter facade will add a great deal of visual interest to the local streetscape.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
