It's been 18 months since we last visited Sarina Homes' latest Marda Loop project, COCO. Back in October, 2018, construction was in its early stages with work crews pouring concrete footings on the ground floor parking level. Since then, the 5-storey, 76-unit, residential condominium project has risen to the 4th floor and is nearly topped off. The 5th floor, soon to be under construction, will feature setback units with outdoor terraces.

COCO is a multi-material project with the lower parking area made from concrete, and the upper levels using a combination of steel beams and wood framing. The exterior has a modern aesthetic, typical of many other developments from Sarina.

COCO is Sarina Homes' second multifamily project, commencing shortly after their first project - Avenue 33 - completed a little over a year ago. Sarina is proving to be bullish on Marda Loop as they have also introduced their third project in that neighborhood with the announcement of 1800, a 67-unit, 5-storey condominium project. 1800 will be located just a stone's throw from Avenue 33, as all three of Sarina's projects are located on Marda Loop's burgeoning 33rd Avenue corridor.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
