A couple of months back we reported on the commencement of exterior cladding installation at Anthem Properties' latest development, 1134-1160 Memorial Drive. The colder than usual weather in February slowed things down somewhat on exterior work, but recently the installation has picked up speed, and now the exterior cladding is getting close to finishing, with the majority of the exterior now covered as seen in recent photographs.

The 93-unit project, designed by Rositch Hemphill Architects, has been under construction for a little over a year, the building's massing now complete as exterior finishing enters the home stretch. Exterior cladding is made up mostly of traditional brown brick, and is accented with olive green and cedar-coloured panels. Drywall work is nearly complete on the interior, and finishes have started within some of the lower units.

The development, temporary dubbed 1134-1160 Memorial Drive, is expected to be completed around September, with a permanent name expected sometime in the next 4-6 weeks.

1134-1160 Memorial Drive is sure to fit in well with its surroundings, the addition of upwards of 150 new residents to be a major bonus to the area in and around Kensington.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
