Marda Loop has been a busy place the last couple of years with multiple projects completed or still under construction, and the area shows no signs of slowing down. Sarina Homes recently announced another multi-family residential project for Marda Loop, shortly after the completion of Avenue 33.
The proposal has temporarily been named "1800," and will feature a 5-storey, 67-unit, mixed-use project located at 33 Ave SW and 18 St SW. Designed by FAAS Architecture, the mid-rise will be Sarina's third project along the 33rd Avenue corridor, after Avenue 33 (already complete), and COCO (under construction). The main level is set to feature live/work units, while the upper floors are residential only.
The project still is in its infancy, and is currently going through the usual permit process. An application for a land use amendment (to change the zoning from RC-2 to MU-1) and a development permit have been submitted concurrently.
