Six weeks since our last update, and progress at AVLI on Atlantic has continued to move at a steady pace. Glass installation has moved ahead significantly, with glazing work now gracing all but the top of the structure.

Situated at the heart of Calgary's ever-popular Inglewood neighbourhood along 9 Ave SE, the 7-storey, 64-unit AVLI on Atlantic will represent an influx of over 100 new residents into the area. Owing to the prime location of the development, the inclusion of a two-storey, ground-level retail component will go a long way to ingratiating the project into its surroundings.

Visible in the images above and below, the Sturgess Architecture-designed development has been composed with multiple volumes across the façade. An angular, sawtooth pattern defines the residential levels, while the lower retail levels have been left more or less rectilinear.

Seen above, AVLI on Atlantic's location, along a major bus route, and due east of the core, will likely be a major selling point for those looking for a mix of urban convenience and a cozy, neighbourhood feel.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
