The University District at the UofC has been undergoing a slate of transformative changes over the last twelve months, as more and more structures begin to rise on-site. A central part of this transformation is the NORR Architects-designed Rhapsody, a mid-rise, mixed-use residential project which will be anchored by a Save On Foods grocery store.

The 6-storey, 288-unit, Rhapsody will eventually be home to upwards of 400 residents, the large grocery store at its base to represent the first of its kind to appear within the up and coming University District. Tucked towards the northern reaches of University Heights, close to the intersection of 32 Ave SW and Shaganappi Trail NW, the new University District neighbourhood will place residents within easy walking distance to the UofC and the CF Market Mall.

The Save On Foods will be joined by Analog - a highly popular local coffee chain. With easy access to food, coffee, and shopping, students and other residents within Rhapsody will be well-equipped. Close-ish to the CTrain, located conveniently on the far side of the adjacent UofC campus, non-drivers will be connected to the core.

Once complete, Rhapsody will be a fine addition to the University District, part of the area's rebirth as a fully functioning, high-density neighbourhood.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database files and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below
