A little over a month ago we wrote about construction being imminent for Irvine, a mixed-use project in Calgary's Inglewood neighborhood. We can now report that construction is a step closer, as excavation is underway on the six-storey, 60-unit building. Excavation crews have been on site for a few days now and have already dug approximately three meters down into the ground.

The building, designed by NORR Architects will become the fourth multi-family residential project to be under construction along Inglewood's 9th Avenue, following Greenview's Avli on Atlantic, Opus' South Bank project and the new Inglewood YWCA building. When completed, the building will also add five retail units to Inglewood's already busy retail and restaurant scene.

After excavation is complete, foundation work will begin, and construction will be fully underway. As always SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues.
