Five months since our last update, and progress at the site of Lyfe Marda Loop (formerly Victory and Venture) has been moving along well. The five-storey, 154-unit, mid-rise residential block by PK Developments and Casola Koppe Architects is now almost completely clad, its black, grey, and red colour scheme now clearly visible as work wraps up on the exterior.

Located at along 33 Ave SW just east of Crowchild Trail SW, the development is on target to bring upwards of 200 residents to Calgary's ever-growing Marda Loop. The predominantly timber-frame structure has risen fast, its spandrel-heavy facade having similarly been quick in going up.

Lyfe Marda Loop represents the changing face of the neighbourhood, the development to place residents within walking distance to the shops and restaurants found along 33 Ave SW, along with Crowchild Trail station.

Once complete, Lyfe Marda Loop will be a fine addition to the area, the influx of pedestrian foot traffic to be a boon to local businesses.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the comments section below.
