After more than a dozen years of speculation, life, in the form of the long-awaited One Tower at the corner of 1 St SE and 10 Ave SE has finally, found a way. A deserted downtown patch of untapped prime real estate no more, the future site of the 37-storey, mixed-use One Tower has burst into action, the structure soon to rise.
Developed by Strategic Group, One Tower will be comprised of a mix of residential units and street-level retail. While no further details are yet known, it is clear that the 122-metre tower will be a welcome addition to the core, the development to be tucked between the financial district, Beltline, and Victoria Peak.
Well-situated for urban professionals looking to live close to work, One Tower will place residents within easy walking distance to the core, as well as to the Centre Street CTrain station just a few blocks north. Close as well to the East Village, locals will be able to pop over to the New Central Library, Studio Bell Centre, and many other popular attractions nearby.
As little else is known at this point, it will be fascinating to see this project come to life over the next several months.
