More than a month since our last update, and progress at the site of Fram+Stoker's Verve has been moving along swiftly, especially at ground level where a host of recent landscaping improvements have begun to knit the structure into the surrounding East Village streetscape. While finishing touches have all but been completed, save for the ground level retail component, the messy work site at the base of the tower has started its cleanup process, thereby bringing the project another significant step closer to fruition.

Designed by Giannone Petricone Associates, the mixed-use, 25-storey, 288-unit, Verve will soon be home to a majority of condo units alongside a handful of live-work units, all of which will be placed atop a sizable retail podium base. Comprised of two distinct volumes, residents will be privy to two separate rooftop terraces, the first to be set upon the 6th floor setback, the second to grace the top floor of the tower.

Viewed from across the Bow River, Verve (centre-left), nestled between the ALT Hotel (far left) and First (centre), has become a staple of the East Village skyline. Paired with recent landscaping improvements to the riverfront path system, and the makings of a series of contiguous urban spaces from one side of the core to the other are well underway.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
