Following its opening last year, the cSPACE King Edward Art Incubator has been a success, the addition of a modern, fully functional space for arts, music, and other creative collaboration, has been of great benefit to the city. More than just a cool space, the careful application of adaptive re-use has been significant, the 115-year-old school house having been completely overhauled, while managing to retain much of its historic character.
Having added an outdoor farmer's market in June, the 47,500 square-foot cSPACE has become a well-integrated part of the broader community, a trend that will only be strengthened by the upcoming completion of the adjacent townhouses that are now going up on-site.
Known as the Residences of King Edward, the 19-unit luxury townhouse complex will feature a mix of floor plans, and design schemes, with buyers able to choose from among six distinct decorative themes, including: Cosmopolitan, Modern, Minimalist, Loft, Historic, and 1920s.
Eventually, the townhouses will be joined on the opposite side of the cSPACE building, by a 95-unit assisted living complex, which will complete the site's redevelopment.
