Before construction can get underway at the future site of 11th + 11th, demolition crews will be hard at work clearing the row of low-rise commercial buildings that now stand in its path. Set to become the site of a 44-storey residential tower by Ramsay Worden Architects, 11th + 11th will bring a great deal of density to a corner of the Beltline which had been underserved by the current wave of development that has swept the core.

Located at the nexus of 11th and 11th, the aptly named development is situated at the northwestern edge of the Beltline, the 369-unit tower will place residents within easy walking distance of the attractions of nearby 17th Ave SW to the south, as well as the West Kerby CTrain station a few blocks north.

Considering the relatively small size of the now all but razed row of commercial buildings which have now been all but cleared away, it will likely not be long before the site is ready for excavation.

Once complete, 11th + 11th's podium will feature a rooftop terrace and green roof, all of which will sit atop a row of retail, thereby bringing some much-needed pedestrian life to the vicinity.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
