Construction on Inglewood's AVLI on Atlantic continues just as the neighbourhood gears up for an array of summer festivals. Designed by Sturgess Architecture for Greenview Developments, the seven-storey project occupies a prime piece of land on 9th Avenue SE, putting future residents within walking distance of Inglewood's eclectic mix of small-town shops and restaurants.

The 65-unit concrete condominium building will provide owners with the opportunity to customize finishes and layouts in their homes, meaning no two homes will be identical. "All too often in Calgary, owners are restricted to the same cookie-cutter layouts and finishes when buying a new build condominium," said Jerilyn Wright of Jerilyn Wright and Associates (JWA), the award-winning interior designers retained for the project. "We've taken the opposite approach here, maximizing choice and prioritizing many different luxury finishes and options for owners."

The first 75 percent of homeowners have been working with the design team to personalize their respective spaces. "We want AVLI on Atlantic to match the unique personalities and tastes of those who choose to live in the unique community of Inglewood," says Wright.

As construction goes vertical, a multitude of summer festivals are on tap in Calgary's first neighbourhood. Inglewood's Night Markets return on July 13th, August 10th and September 14th and 15th, while the YYC Alternative Market arrives on July 28th. Other festivals deeper into the summer include Sunfest on August 4th and Music Mile the following day. Each of these events spotlight the vibrancy of an Inglewood in transition.

"We believe AVLI on Atlantic will be the keystone of more unique developments in Inglewood and become the address of choice for those who want to enjoy events and community life while having a retreat of personalized design in the heart of Calgary’s first neighbourhood," said Brian Kernick, President of Greenview Developments.
