A month since our last update, and progress at the site of Embassy Bosa's 34-storey The Royal has been moving along nicely, the Abugov Kaspar-designed residential tower having almost reached its final 115-metre height. Standing tall against the local skyline, the latest photos from our Forum showcase the project's heightened presence within the neighbourhood.

Viewed above from 8 St SW, The Royal has come to dominate the local skyline, the majority of the Beltline district as of yet still home to a vast majority of low-rise structures.

Soon to be home to 223 residential units placed above a retail podium anchored by an urban format Canadian Tire and Urban Fare grocery store, The Royal will inject a great deal of urban vibrancy into the already bustling Beltline district.

Viewed alongside Grace Presbyterian Church, The Royal will bring a great deal of visual contrast, the tower's steely-blue glass curtain wall representative of the urban shift now underway just south of the downtown core.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread,
