Today's Throwback Thursday captures the rapid rate of change at the site of Cidex Group's The Hat, with two nearly identical vantage points from the corner of 7 Ave SE and 5 St SE in East Village.

Viewed above in December, 2016, Caterpillars and other heavy machinery can be made out, the future site of The Hat little more than a patch of dirt two years ago.

Captured from the same spot in May, 2018, The Hat has now all but topped off, the soon-to-be 28-storey, 221-unit, rental tower to be a welcome addition to East Village.
