A new mid-rise condominium development is taking shape at the intersection of 50th Avenue SW and Elbow Drive SW, with construction well underway for Arlington Street Investments and Quantum Place Developments' The Windsor. The six-storey mixed-use project designed by NORR Architects will bring 104 condominium units and 22,671 square feet of ground floor retail space to the meeting point of the Windsor Park and Britannia neighbourhoods.

The project now rises four levels above grade, revealing a reinforced concrete-built ground floor supporting wood-framed levels above. The lengthy process of forming and pouring for the ground floor and the bottom of level two wrapped up in the final weeks of 2017, and in the months since, the upper levels' wood skeleton has risen three levels.

As structural work progresses, the first elements of exterior cladding have been installed in the form of windows covering second-floor residential units. Glazing on these windows will be surrounded by a combination of light and orange-hued materials, with the latter adding touches of warmth to the exteriors.
