In the time since our October photo update, progress at Battistella Developments' INK has been swift. Concrete construction has risen roughly ten storeys above 8th Avenue SE, four storeys below its resting point, with a glassy magenta-spotted architectural dialogue to soon give the building its external character.

A November construction update posted on the project website documented a brief tour led by Simon Battistella that highlighted the building's internal progress, showing rebar and electrical wiring being installed on the sixth floor. The below-grade parkade and main floor commercial space are aesthetically coming together.

The S2 Architecture-designed building will contain 119 units, offering a range of studio to two-bedroom floor plans. Interiors are designed to be smart and functional, with loft-inspired spaces designed in an industrial chic style that features exposed concrete floors and ceilings and visible ductwork.

An alternating wraparound balcony pattern based on the odd and even floors imbue the building with geometric asymmetry. Angled exterior walls create distinct floor plans, ensuring no two units are alike. Upon completion, amenities will include a shared fireplace-equipped rooftop garden, a common repair room, and a pet washing station.
