Truman Developments of Calgary recently unveiled its newest project for the Calgary area. A 10-storey, 102-unit, mixed-use project for the 2800 block of 17th Avenue SW. Along with the 102 residential units, the development also includes 7,223 square feet of retail space, with frontage onto 17th Avenue as well as 29th Street.

The 10-storey building is designed at a compromising scale, offering great views of downtown and western views towards the Rocky Mountains without being too tall or overpowering for the surrounding neighbourhood.

The location of West 17 is great for transit considerations. This development can be considered a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) as it falls within 600 metres of both the Westbooke LRT Station and the Shaganappi Point LRT Station. It also fronts onto 17th ave which is served by multiple bus routes.

The building, which was designed by NORR Architects, is currently in the process of public engagement.
