Today we're taking a look back at the construction of three prominent Beltline towers known as Stella, Nova and Luna.

In 2003, Vancouver developer Qualex-Landmark broke ground on the 20-storey, 161-unit Stella condominium development in Calgary's Beltline neighborhood. The tower would not only mark Qualex-Landmark's successful foray into the Calgary development scene, but the building was also the first of a three-tower, 567-unit build that spanned an entire city block.

The three towers, Stella, Nova, and Luna, were highly successful; successful enough that the developer would follow with three more developments in the Beltline area.

In 2006 following the success of Stella, Qualex-Landmark moved forward with Stella's 27-storey, 188-unit sister tower Nova. This building was even more successful, selling all of its units in one weekend.

Last but not least, construction began on the final of the three buildings on the block, Luna, and its 30-storey 218-unit tower. All three towers were constructed by ITC Construction

Today the three towers have long been completed and residents moved in. The towers are a fixture alongside the 12th Avenue cycle track in Calgary's west Beltline.
