Just wondering why after probably 4 years now, there are still no directional signs to this ramp for Deerfoot Trail Northbound from westbound 212 ave SE. Seems like quite the oversight

Depending on where those little Deerfoot maintenance markers are ( looked on Street view but I couldn't see one on the east side, only the west, on a light standard in the median) it might lay with Alberta Transportation.
Best bet, email both and cc your councilor and MLA.

That would be an Alberta Transportation issue. You could contact the highway maintenance company responsible for that section. Either Carmacks or Main Road. Definitely not a City of Calgary issue.

I finally received a proper response from the Gov’t of Alberta, transportation. Looks like the sign should be coming soon
Thank you for your email regarding a missing sign on 212 Avenue for the Deerfoot Trail on-ramp. On behalf of Honourable Devin Dreeshen, Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors, I am able to provide the following information.

I appreciate your observations and can assure you that Transportation and Economic Corridors is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation system which meets the needs of Albertans. This commitment includes regularly monitoring, inspecting, and assessing needs on our highways.

Department staff have reviewed your concern and agree that guide signs for Deerfoot Trail for westbound traffic on 212 Ave are missing and should be installed. As the guide signs need to be installed along the section of 212 Ave underthe management and control of the City of Calgary, Department staff will be working with the City on installing the missing guide signs accordingly.

Should you have further questions, please contact Mr. Fred Lee, Operations Manager. Mr. Lee can be reached toll-free by dialing 310-0000, then 403-297-7661 or atfred.lee@gov.ab.ca.

Thank you for taking the time to write.

Sincerely,

Darren
