This is fabulous news. It looks like they used this parcel as a storage yard for their other projects on 33 St SW for the past couple years. Once this project on 14 Ave/33 St is complete, it will really make this feel like more of a multi-family community.

Also, it should make a more compelling case for developers to pay up west of 33 St, and actually build the TOD sites. I'm sure the city is already developing a plan to sell off the parcels in that TOD site, especially with all the momentum in the Shaganappi multi-family developments over the past several years.

Not sure where to put this, since the discussion of this project has expanded to include overall Westbrook development I thought I would put it here. DP is in for another Truman development, north of the ones U/C (across 14 AV and facing 32 ST). Nothing spectacular but decent massing, and bonus points from me for using brick.

How do we feel about the lack of symmetry on a development like this? It bugs me a little that there are two windows on the east corner but only one of the west corner.

It bugs me now. I hadn't noticed before but now I can't unsee it.
In my opinion what I'd prefer here is to have the brick on one side, say the west side closer to Westbrook. Then use the other materials on the east side.

This elevation is an example of when you don't want to break up the building with materials, it feels suburban. Normally I like breaking up full-block buildings but not in this case.

Only one picture, hard to tell if there is only one window on the west corner. The dark portion of the facade juts out a little, so from this angle, a second window could just be hidden.

I think it's just the angle blocking one set of windows, but I wouldn't be bothered if the building wasn't symmetrical.
