I wish there was a bit of lighting along the rise of the tower as well. It kind of looks like a floating ice fishing hut

Yeah, the lighting is pretty bland. Suits the tower perfectly. So I guess the proposed wood accents became greyish coloured stucco too. Overall, It's not too bad for a rental tower.

Not bad for a rental tower sums it up perfectly.

Hi Group,

This Project Has 2 Bldgs Going Up. As I Remember it Right, the Lot was Origionally to B the "Astora". They had a Sales Office at 999 8th St. S.W. They Started Construction and Didn't Get Very Far back in 2008. It Stalled and Sat there for Years. Wam Dvlpmnts must Have Had to Redo the Foundations to Get in the Two Bldgs. Can't help but Wonder if They Got a Good deal on the Property etc, I Honestly Didn't Expect 2 Bldgs so It Comes as a Surprise to Me, Just Wondering How It All Came About.

Tnx
Operater.

I am pretty sure the parkade and foundations were sealed at ground level when the original project ceased. For a two tower project, Ventus went up pretty quick so I don't think they had to do a whole lot underneath.

Exactly. They didn't really have to do any work in the parkade levels, Astoria was to be a 2 tower project anyways.
