Walked by this one today, glad the colours are different from the US tower next door. Hopefully the retail fills up quickly and continues the evolution of 1st into a high street.

Likewise. 1st Street is an interesting test. Even with the insane amount of density around this corridor. Starbucks..STARBUCKS can't even stay open late. Lot's of restaurants have failed on this street in the last few years as well. Density sure ain't everything.
I think things on that street will pick up. Density is part of it, but like Lloyd said, it's not everything. A few more retail spaces, and something on corner of 1st and 17th to help anchor the street would make a difference.

17th Ave anchor would be great! Is PBA moving forward?
I haven't heard anything about it, but these days projects, particularly rental ones seem to pop out of the woodwork without much notice. I'd love to see that one get built.
