Stampede Hotel | 45m | 12s | Truman | NORR

Truman is going absolutely gangbusters! I kind of worry they'll stretch themselves thin. Don't want another Torode style implosion. They seem to have their shit together though. Can't believe they have such a small HQ considering their growth.
The new HQ is under construction in the West District so everyone will be under one roof....probably in October.

They are moving into one of their developments in West District I think.

Someone more familiar with Truman can verify, but I believe for some of their biggest projects like the Truman trio, Truman isn't using their own money, but is more or less the general manager of the projects? I recall with Torode he had a fair bit of his own money involved and he got caught. I could be incorrect, but that's the way I remember it, which gives me hope that Truman won't get over extended.

I like it! Will really be a nice focal point and entry into Stampede Park from 17th Ave. They better not VE the greenery on the roof and canopy, that makes a huge difference to the feel of that area. Also sad to see Weadickville go. Wonder if there is another area they could rebuild it, maybe Enmax Park?

I will say I am still disappointed that the Matthew’s Southwest Hotel next to the Stampede Casino fell through. I still think that is the best spot for a high end hotel and a nice anchor to the true heart of the entertainment district.

That makes sense. Which hotel brand would that be? Any guesses or hints?
There's got to be some conflating on both the investment level and the room numbers between this project and Truman's overall plans in the area

I don't think a 13 storey hotel of this size can fit 330 rooms, nor does it cost $330M to build. The Dorian is about 30 storeys and has about 300 rooms for perspective.

At first glance it doesn’t look like a big enough building for 330 rooms but it could be done. The Dorian is 27 floors, twice the height of this hotel, but I would estimate the floor plate to be about half the size.
Another example would be the alt hotel in university District, which is 13 floors, and 155 rooms but I would say the floor plates are also about half the size of this one.
I agree the cost of $300 million feels high to me, but maybe there are some other facilities included?
