I would love to but until things are released internally, I can't. There is a lot going on in the background. The next announcement will blow this one out of the water.Spill the beans![]()

You might just get your wishThis is ideal as some brand's 5 star collection of independent hotels. A medium rise Ritz-Carlton by the Stampede grounds would be disappointing.
Calgary is getting its own.....Trump Tower or Trump Casino??!I would love to but until things are released internally, I can't. There is a lot going on in the background. The next announcement will blow this one out of the water.
The hotel only goes up to 22nd floor. Most highrise hotels are like that, pretty sure Residence Inn in the Beltline is the same.I meant in addition to this. We need a proper 50+ story similar to the JW in Edmonton.
We do have a Regency already, that's basically equivalent to a standard Marriott. This location and it being smaller, more boutique vibe seems good for a W (Marriott), JdV (Hyatt) or Kimpton (IHG). One step off from the most premium brand (Ritz, St. Regis, Park Hyatt, etc.)We do need a true 5 star at some point. Thinking JW, Hyatt Regency, dare I say Ritz?

Wouldn't be surprised if the Stampede Station site had a more upscale business hotel (JW, Conrad or Grand Hyatt), while the currently announced hotel is more a boutique brand. You're getting warmer
I'd think Broadway or Stampede Station are more likely before City Centre 2. It'll need to be mixed use, and I doubt anyone is proposing any additional office space in Calgary, and that location isn't that ideal for residential imo.City Centre tower 2 long rumoured hotel project?
North end of downtown has always struggled as a speculative office building district, parking of the speculative parking lot "ring" of the office core. Inflated and distorted expectations based on a 1980s office model really messed with the area's developability.I'd think Broadway or Stampede Station are more likely before City Centre 2. My mind's in a fog this morning. Is there a hotel portion proposed for Broadway?I'd think Broadway or Stampede Station are more likely before City Centre 2.
