As someone who lives in tbe area I think the University District has a lot of potential to close a hole in the NW market. Especially once some of the more boutique businesses start opening up. The NW is pretty bland in terms of quality high streets (besides Kensington and maybe someday Bowness).
I'm of the mind that coffee shops feed off each other and create a sort of 'scene'. More than a merrier I say!Just walked by this afternoon and it looks like Save-on Foods is set to open on friday, I could see stocked shelves inside. And unsurprisingly, but unfortunately, it seems as though there's going to be a Starbucks inside. Not sure how thats going to affect Analog coffees planned location next door.
Also market wines, Scotiabank and the pet shop seem very close to being open to the public. Looks like they're just putting in the finishing touches on them.
